Mary Winter, Born in Russia, Dies on Sunday
Mary Winter

Mrs. Mary Winter, wife of Fred Winter, Jr. 1153 34th Ave, died Sunday morning at Weld County General Hospital where she has been a patient since Feb. 8, 1969. She was 69.
Born in Saratov, Russia, Dec. 6, 1899, she came to the United States with her parents when she was two years old. They lived at Weatherford, Oklahoma, later moving to Windsor, Colorado in 1906 and to Fort Collins in 1915. She was married at Garden City, Kansas on Jan. 10, 1916 and came to the Eaton community in 1919, where her husband farmed until he retired in 1956 and moved to Greeley.
Mrs. Winter was a member of the Foursquare Church of Eaton and the U.F.W.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are six sons, Dale Winter, Melvin Winter, and Kenneth Winter, all of Greeley; Charles Winter, and Wilbert Winter, both of Eaton, and Eddie Winter of Westminster; two sisters, Mrs. Conrad Feit and Mrs. Lydia Snyder; and a brother, Fred J Winters, all of Greeley. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren. Her only daughter, Mrs. Lillian Slagle, died in 1966.
