Fred Winter Jr. Dies Thursday At Bonell Home
Fred Winter Jr. of 249 25th Ave., died Thursday at the Bonell Retirement Home.
He was born Sept. 10, 1893, in Russia. In 1912 he came to the United States, living first in Garden City, Kan. He moved to Windsor in 1913 and to Fort Collins in 1917.
Winter and Mary Katherine Winter were married Jan. 10, 1916 in Garden City, Kan. They farmed in the Eaton area until 1956 when they moved to Greeley. Mrs. Winter died March 25, 1969.
Surviving are six sons, Kenneth, Dale and Melvin Winter of Greeley; Wilbert and Charles Winter of Eaton and Eddie Winter of Westminster; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Winder of Windsor; Mrs. Margaret Winder of Fort Morgan and Mrs. Millie Schott of Greeley, and three brothers, Jake, George and Dave Winter of Greeley.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday from the Adamson Memorial Chapel, with interment in Eaton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund of the Eaton Foursquare Gospel Church of which Winter was a member.
