Dale Floyd Winter, 60, of Greeley died Friday, Nov. 4, at North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley.
He was born July 27, 1945, to Fred and Mary (Winters) Winter.
On Sept. 6, 1969, he married Claudia Durr at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greeley.
Mr. Winter moved a lot during his childhood, finally settling in Greeley. He graduated in 1964 from Greeley Central High School and attended Aims Community College. He enjoyed driving and would often drive to lull his young son, Matt, to sleep and later continued these trips with his dogs and his brother-in-law Ed Durr.
Mr. Winter loved his Ranchero; it was his "fast car." He enjoyed watching Platte Valley volleyball and basketball games. He earned the nickname the "Concession Stand Concierge" for his ability to spot and remember the best concession stands. He enjoyed roller skating with his daughter Becky. Eventually he competed and went to nationals.
He was a collector of magnets, coins, Mustangs and John Deere tractors. He was a good Christian man. He loved traveling with his family, and especially enjoyed Las Vegas, where he played blackjack well. He enjoyed attending car shows and playing board games. His beloved pets Rocky and Pebbles will miss him greatly
Survivors are his wife, Claudia Winter of Greeley; a daughter, Becky Winter, also of Greeley; a son, Matt Winter and fiancée Shannon Castle of Evans; his parents-in-law, William and Lillian George of Greeley; two brothers, Charles Winter Sr. and wife Eleanor of Eaton and Melvin Winter and wife Leona of Ault.
His parents, a sister, Lillian, and three brothers, Eddie, Willie and Kenny Winter preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greeley. Interment will be Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley. Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Stoddard Funeral Home.
