She was born Aug. 28, 1919, in Page, Neb., to Clarence and Dena Johnson Stevens. She married Elton Grass in O'Neill, Neb., on Aug. 10, 1939. He died May 8, 1988.
She graduated from Page High School in Nebraska. She had lived in Eugene for the past 45 years, and previously lived in Yoncalla.
Grass was employed at Meier & Frank. She was an avid fan of the Oregon State University Beavers, and enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family. She was a member of River Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Don of Ashburn, Va.; three daughters, Nancy Ollivant of Cottage Grove, Nadine Grass of Eugene and Marilyn Grass of Springfield; two brothers, Lee Stevens of Lincoln, Neb., and Wendell Stevens of Omaha, Neb.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Lane Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
