JESSE H. WEDDLE, SR., of 314 West Fourth Street, Frederick, died Saturday night at 9:45 o'clock at Newton D. Baker VA Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va., aged 59 years. Mr. Weddle was admitted to the hospital a month and a half ago. He had been in failing health for the past three years.

Mr. Weddle was born in Frederick County, a son of the late James E. and Rebecca Weddle; was a veteran of World War I., Frederick Aerie F.O. Eagles, Francis Scott Key Post, The American Legion and the Church of the Brethren. After his discharge from the army he was employed by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad at Brunswick for 10 years.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Laura Rhoderick Weddle, and the following children, Jesse H. Weddle, Jr., Union Bridge; Woodrow W. Weddle, Middletown; Mrs. Carl Tucker, Frederick; Mrs. Corbitt Godwin, Salisbury; Betty and Evelyn Weddle, at home. Four sisters, Mrs. Mamie Brunner, Mrs. Cos Weddle and Mrs. Ira Weddle, all of Frederick; Mrs. Gertrude Brown, Lovettsville, Va., and two brothers, Franklin Weddle, Mountaindale and Earl Weddle, Brunswick, also survive, with six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Church of the Brethren; interment was in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick; arrangements by G.C. Barton, funeral director.
