Ira Jacob Weddle died suddenly at his home, 20 West Seventh Street, Wednesday at 6:50 p.m., aged 68 years. Although he had been in ill health his death was unexpected.

He was a son of the late James Edward and Rebecca Conner Weddle and owned and operated his furniture repair and refinishing business formally operated by the late Charles G. Kline.

Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Grace M. Fisher Weddle, nine children, Mrs Chester Long, this city; Harry S. Weddle, Frostburg; Mrs. Howard L Waltz, Baltimore; John I. Weddle, Guy E. Weddle, Mrs Charles A Fogle, Lee F. Weddle, Mrs. Charles Norwood, all of this city and Joseph H. Weddle, Middletown; three brothers and a sister, Frank Weddle, Mountaindale; Cos C. Weddle, this city; Earl Weddle, Brunswick, and Mrs Gertrude Brown, Lovettsville, Va. Fifteen grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
