Russell T. Oyen obituary -- Lodi -- Russell T. Oyen, age 97, passed away on Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at his home. He was born on Dec. 2, 1907, in the town of Arlington, the son of the late Thomas and Dena (Olson) Oyen. He was a lifelong area resident and farmer. On March 31, 1937, he was united in marriage to the former Minnie Eikland. He is survived by his wife, two children, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, and a sister-in-law. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Oyen; five sisters, Chestina Oyen, Mabel Johnson, Gladys Dulin, Tirzah Godding and Hazel Jamieson; and four brothers, Harry, Glen, George and Dwain Oyen. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at the Hamre Funeral Home, Lodi, with the Rev. Steven Bremer officiating. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at the funeral home and also from noon until the time of service on Friday.
