Dighton — Leo Stremel, 80, died Saturday at the Lane County Hospital here after a long illness.

Born Nov. 15, 1889, at Loretta. He married Anna Brungardt, November 15, 1909 in Pfiefer.

He grew up in Loretta and mover to Finney County in 1922, he moved back to Dighton in 1933 and to Dodge City, returned to Dighton in 1952. He was a framer and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Dighton.

Survivors include; widow of the home, four daughters; Mrs. Adeline Greenwell, Auburn, Calif., Mrs. Regina Riley, Dighton, Mrs. Anna Mary Arnhart, Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Mary Coada, Rapid City, S.D.; four sons, Ray Stremel, Walnut Creek, Calif., Leonard Stremel, Joplin, Mo., August Stremel, Dighton, Carl Stremel, Bueua Park, Calif.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Theresa's Catholic, with Revs. Stephen Ried and Joseph Stremel officiating. Burial will be in the Dighton Memorial Cemetery.
