Christian Wacker was born June 22, 1827 in the Kingdom of Württemberg, Germany. He came to America and settled permanently in Collinsville, Illinois.

On January 9, 1862, Christian Wacker married Katherine Spies, the daughter of Heinrich Spies and Katharina Philippina (Dautermann) Spies, in Collinsville, Madison County, Illinois, by James M. Lawrence. Ten children were born to this union, with eight surviving to adulthood:

Christian Wacker was a Saloonkeeper in Collinsville, Illinois. He died on June 12, 1881 in Collinsville, Madison County, Illinois. He was buried in the Glenwood Cemetery in Collinsville.

When Christian Wacker died he owned a "lot" of ground in Collinsville which was sold by his widow Katherine to pay debts in Madison county court during the June term in 1883 (John D. Heisel attorney).
