Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Manilla Nyenhuis was born April 12, 1898 at Muscatine, the daughter of William and Laura Van Atta Nyenhuis. She had lived in Muscatine until moving to Bettendorf about 15 years ago.
She married Carl H. Koenig Nov. 24, 1915, in Muscatine. She was a member of the Moline Gospel Temple.
Surviving are six sons, Howard, Ridge Manor, Fla.; Donald, Lansing, Mich.; Wesley, East Moline; Richard, Lansing, Mich.; Carl Jr., Flint, Mich.; and Robert, Muscatine; three daughters, Mrs. William (Catherine) Culbertson, Worthington, Ohio; Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Riley, Bettendorf; Mrs. Charles (Helen) Culbertson, Carpentersville, Ill.; 26 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a son.
