Mr. Hinnenkamp died from complications following an auto accident Monday. He was born in Uniontown, Wash., and moved to Colfax when he was an infant. He and his wife lived and farmed in the area between Colfax and Pullman. He was a member of Parvin Grange and the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Hinnenkamp is survived by his wife, Evelyn; two daughters, Kay VanDyke of Colfax and Betty Jo Sebo of Spokane; two sons, Ed Hinnenkamp and John Hinnenkamp, both of Colfax; three sisters, Phyllis Hinnenkamp and Mary Ann Sheer, both of Spokane, and Dorothy Hinnenkamp of Sacramento, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral Mass for N.B. "James" Hinnenkamp, 78, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Colfax, where he was a member. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Colfax Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Morning Star Boys Ranch or Colfax Ambulance Fund.
