Nora B. Ruxlow
Funeral services for Nora B. Ruxlow, 85, of Quincy, Illinois, formerly of Edina, will be held at 10:30 Friday morning (July 1, 1988) in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Edina. The Rev. Michael Coleman, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Music will be provided by Linda Kriegshauser, organist. Burial will be in the St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Edina.
The body is at Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel, where rosary will be said at 6:30 Thursday evening (June 30, 1988).
Mrs. Ruxlow died at 9:25 Monday night (June 27, 1988) in St. Mary Hospital, Quincy, Illinois. Before entering the hospital, she had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Home in Quincy for ten years.
Born June 14, 1903 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of John W. and Julia Scanlon Zurborg. On November 14, 1923 at Edina, she was married to Frank Joseph Ruxlow who preceded here in death on February 20, 1971. Also preceding her in death were one brother, Lawrence C. Zurborg; two grandsons, Robert Lawrence Ruxlow and Gerald Ruxlow and one great-grandson, Scott Pisciotta.
Surviving are four sons, James Richard Ruxlow of Quincy, Illinois, William Bernard Ruxlow of Boca Raton, Florida, Frank Joseph Ruxlow, Jr. of Arnold and Lawrence Robert Ruxlow of McPherson, Kansas; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ruxlow was reared in Cleveland, Ohio. For 40 years, Mrs. Ruxlow and here husband owned and operated a grocery store in Edina. She also served as a correspondent for Edina Sentinel and the Quincy (Illinois) Herald-Whig for a number of years.
Mrs. Ruxlow was a member of the Women's Business Club of Edina and the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Edina.
Bearers will be: Bob Ruxlow, Kai Ruxlow, Stig Ruxlow, Chris Fuemmeler, Mike Pisciotta and Charles Procter.
