Maryann Gustin, 80, Indianapolis, passed away October 1, 2003.
Maryann's first career had been as a hair dresser for L.S. Ayres' downtown from 1942 until 1952. After raising three children, in 1973, she began her second career as Assistant Director of Housekeeping for Hilton Hotels - Airport, and was subsequently promoted to Director of Housekeeping.
After her retirement, she had more time to travel. She was an avid reader, an excellent cook, and a bon vivant who enjoyed her extended family.
Maryann was preceded in death by brothers, Sidney Amy, Benjamin Amy, Dudley Amy, and John Amy; sisters, Carol Conrad, Della Funk, Lilly Amy, Peggy James, and Dixie Amy.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12 at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center - Washington Park North. www.flannerbuchanan.com
