BUFFALO, WY. ---- Private graveside services for C.W. Baum, 94, will be held on Thursday at the Pleasantview Cemetery, in Ballantine, MT.

Visitation for Mr. Baum will be at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Mr. Baum died Oct. 1, 1996, at his home in Buffalo.

He was born Aug. 1, 1902, in Siberia, Russia, to Jacob and Katherine Baum.

He immigrated with his family to the United States, when they homesteaded in Huntley Project, MT.

He grew up and received his education in Montana and graduated from Worden High School.
He received a bachelor of science and a master's degrees from the University of Montana in Missoula.

He was married on Feb.5, 1927, in Musselshell, MT., to Dorothea McMullin.

He was the superintendent of schools in Cascade, Conrad, Livingston, and Roundup, MT.

They moved to Buffalo in 1960, where he was the superintendent of schools until 1968, when he retired.

Mrs. Baum died May 1989 and he continued to live in Buffalo until the time of his death.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Brees of Great Falls, MT., and Shirley Jones of Bellevue, WA.; one sister Esther Schneider of Billings, MT.; one brother, Peter Baum of Long Beach, CA.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and several brothers and sisters.

Donations may be made in his memory to the Susie Bowling Lawrence
Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
