William "Bill" Baum

WORDEN, MT. --- William 'Bill" Baum, who farmed in the Worden area most of his life, enjoyed hunting and fishing, liked young people and was especially fond of his children.

He was a member of Huntley Sportsman Club.

Mr. Baum, 73, died Thursday morning in deaconess Hospital of cancer.

Born in Lincoln, NB., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Baum.
He moved to Huntley Project in 1911 and attended schools at Garnsey and Worden.

He married Marie Balzer on Feb. 14, 1932, in Worden, MT.

During the off - seasons of framing he did house wiring in the Worden area.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. George (Virginia) Reichman of Mandan, N.D.; a son, Gerald of Worden; two brothers, Conrad of Buffalo, WY., and Pete of Long Beach, CA.; a sister, Esther Schneider of Billings, MT.' two step - brothers, Ed Walters of Ballantine, MT., and Adam Walters of Billings, MT.; a step - daughter, Lyvia Kindsfather of Laurel, MT.;
four grandchildren; and two great - grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Smith Terrace Gardens Chapel.

Burial will be in the Pleasantview Cemetery, Ballantine, MT.
