Billings Matron Dies in Hospital

Mrs. Mollie Becker Here Since 1933


Mrs. Mollie Becker, 44, wife of John Becker died at 2 p.m. Tuesday in a Billings Hospital.


Death was attributed to Tuberculosis.

She had been ill about four months and in the hospital for about 10 days.


Until her illness Mrs. Becker had been a clerk at McKesson & Robbins, wholesale drug company.


She was born in Russia April 23, 1906, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Gabel , and was brought to the United States as a baby.


The family moved to Forsyth, MT., in 1915; to Huntley in 1919 and to Billings in 1933.


She became the wife of Mr. Becker in Billings Dec. 3, 1922.


She was a member of the Worden Congregational Church.


Surviving are the widower; a son, Harold E. Becker; a daughter, Mrs. Carl R. Francis, Jr.; three brothers, George Gabel of Sacramento, CA., Fred Gabel of Smelter Ville, ID., and Julius Gabel of North Dakota; three sisters, Mrs. Tom Flink of Missoula, MT., Mrs. Alex Reiter of Huntley, MT., and Mrs. John Horst of Detroit, and two grandchildren.


Funeral services will be conducted at the Worden Congregational Church, with Rev. John Meer pastor, in charge.


Burial will be in the Pleasantview Cemetery, Ballantine, MT.
