FREEPORT Mrs. Anna Pfau, 88, died Thursday at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home, Albany. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Romuald Bloms, the Rev. Edwin Kraemer and the Rev. Engelbert Dufner officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, New Munich. Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Schad Funeral Home in Freeport Parish prayers will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Pfau was born May 23, 1893, in Lake George Township, Stearns County, to the late Julius and Ottilia (Reger) Kochman. She marrid John Pfau June 27, 1916, in New Munich and the couple farmed near Freeport until 1960. She was a resident of St. Raphael's Home, St. Cloud, from 1972 to 1975 when she moved to Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Freeport. She as a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Freeport and New Munich Christian Mothers and Women's Catholic Order of Foresters. Survivors include sons and daughters, Jerome, Freeport; Edmund, Cin-cinatti, Ohio; John Jr., Mankato; Francis, Eden Prairie; Donald, Maple Grove; Mrs. Fred (Mary Ann) Trayn-or, St. Cloud; Mrs. Regina Crotty, South St. Paul; Mrs. Harry (Henrietta) Reiner, New Brighton; sister, Mrs. A.J. (Lena) Wambach, Mahnomen, 29 grandchildren and seven great-grandchilren. She was preceded in death by her husband Nov. 1, 1960, three brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter. Pallbearers will be John Traynor, William Crotty, William Reiner and Philip, Pat, Fred, Jim and Douglas Pfau. Memorials are preferred to Poor Clare nuns.
