Dolores M. Stockman, 80, of Effingham, IL, passed away at 10:12 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Dolores was born on November 13, 1932, in Effingham, the daughter of Anthony and Anna (Aulenbrock) Niebrugge. She married Bede F. Stockman on June 23, 1962, in Effingham and he preceded her in death on December 8, 2010.

Dolores was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham. She provided a loving home as a daycare provider to many children in the Effingham area. Dolores was a loving mother, parent, and grandmother.

Dolores is survived by her children, Steve C. (Jeanlyn) Stockman and Richard J. Stockman, and Laura A. (Jeff) Sasser; grandchildren, Bayleigh Stockman, Caroline Sasser, and Kate Sasser; brothers, Lawrence (Dorothy) Niebrugge and Anthony (Barb) Niebrugge; sisters, Johanna Spracklen, Martha Muehlenfeld, and Agatha Niebrugge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Monica; and five brothers.

Funeral services were held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham.

Burial was in St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham.

Visitation was held at the church with a rosary. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony schools.
