ROLF C. MEISELWITZ

Rolf C. Meiselwitz, 63, of 1149 6th St., Kiel, a retired Kiel High School teacher, died Wednesday at St. Nicholas Hospital here.
Born April 23, 1913 in the town of Rhine, he was a son of Adolph and Louisa Berg Meiselwitz. He graduated from Kiel High School in 1931 and received his bachelor degree from Whitewater State Teachers College. In 1967 he obtained his master degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. On Dec. 26, 1941 he married Ella Bonitz at Mellon. Mr. Meiselwitz taught at Marshfield and Mellon, and for the past 29 years was business education instructor at Kiel High School. He retired in 1975.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Force in Africa
Mr. Meiselwitz was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel, and a past president of the congregation, past member of the church council and a member of the stewardship committee. He also was secretary of the Kiel Historical Society, a director of the Kiel Community Chest and a member of the Wisconsin Education Association and the Delta Phi Epsilon Fraternity.
Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ron (Martha) Gribbins, St. Louis, Mo.; three sons, John of Whitewater, William of Milton and Robert of Mequon; two sisters, Miss Clara Meiselwitz and Miss Romilda Meiselwitz, both of Kiel, and two brothers, Wilfred, Kiel, and Walter, New Holstein. A sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. Kenneth Eden Hauser, pastor of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Collins, officiating. Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.
