Mr. James of Castile was a son of Leon and Florence Vanglider James. On Oct. 12, 1940, he married Roberta Damon, who survives. He was a former employee of Letchworth State Park.
In addition to his wife survivors include his children, Vonda Burrous, Marcia (Jack) Wilcox, Donald (Sandra) James, and Lisa (David) Granger; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren3 sisters, Lillian Carpenter, Marleah (George) Ritter and Evelyn Hale and a sister-in-law, Bessie James.
He was predeceased by 5 brothers, Francis "Dutch" James, Merlin "Tony" James, Alvin "Mike" James, Kenneth James and Earl "Jessie" James.
