Evelyn F. Hale (1927 - 2017)

BELMONT - Evelyn F. Hale, 89, of 6132 Hess Road, passed away Saturday (April 8, 2017) at her home.

Born on April 25, 1927, in Allen, she was a daughter of Leon and Florence VanGuilder James. She had resided in Belmont since 1953. On June 25, 1949, she married Robert Hale, who predeceased her March 28, 1997.

She enjoyed crocheting and reading.

She is survived by two sons, Gerald Hale Sr. of Belmont and Dean (Christine) Hale of Friendship; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marleah Gelser-Ritter of Belmont.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by six brothers, Hollis "Bill" James, Francis "Dutch" James, Merlin "Tony" James, Alvin "Mike" James, Kenneth "Ken" James and Jess James; and a sister, Lillian Carpenter.

Burial was at Maple Grove Cemetery in Friendship.
