Hannah Jensen died quietly in her sleep on February 14, 2014 and the Neighborhoods at Brookview in Brookings, SD at 94 years, 7 months and 4 days.

Hannah Elfrieda Kindler was born on July 10, 1919 on a farm in Nordland Township, Lyon County, Minneota, Minnesota to William and Alvina Christina Anna (Possehl) Kindler. She was the eighth of nine children - two boys and seven girls and also had a half-sister and four half-brothers . She was baptized and confirmed at German Zion Island Lake Lutheran Church near Lynd, MN. She was a member of Danebod Lutheran Church in Tyler, MN. Hannah attended rural school near Minneota, MN and graduated 8th grade.

On July 24, 1964 she married the love of her life, Axel H. Jensen in Slayton, Murray County, Minnesota. They lived on the farm near Ruthton, Minnesota until his death in 1974. She continued to live there until she moved into Ruthton in 1985. She passed several winters with her daughter Kathy Triebwasser's home on her grandson Kevin's farm. As Kathy had more and more health problems, Hannah continued to live with her until Kathy's death. Shortly after that, health issues forced Hannah to move into the Dakota Sun Assisted Living, Volga, SD in 2011 and she sold her house in Ruthton.

She loved her family - children and grandchildren and never tired of spending time with them.
Life on the farm was a great joy to her as were the animals. Even milking cows was fun.
