George C. Sommers, 62, Topeka, died Sunday, March 20, 1994 at a Topeka hospital.
He was born Aug. 24, 1931 in Topeka, the son of George L. and Catherine R. Kisner Sommers, and spent his life in Topeka.
He worked for the City of Topeka before he retired. Mr. Sommers served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
A sister, Irene H. Lambrecht, Topeka survives.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Sommers will lie in state after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited 6 p.m. Wednesday
