She was born May 3, 1903 at Pfeifer, Russia, the daughter of Casper and Catherine Steckman Kisner. She immigrated with her parents to Topeka in June 1906.
Mrs. Sommers was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Altar Socitey and St. Anthony's Guild.
She was married to George L. Sommers Nov. 27, 1922 at Topeka. He died June 29, 1968. A son, Paul J. Sommers, died in 1936.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Irene Lambrecht, Topeka; son, George C. Sommers of the home; a sister, Mrs. Marie Miller, Topeka; and a brother, Joseph Kisner, Topeka.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Sommers will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Brennan Funeral Home where rosaries will be recited by the parish at 7 p.m. and by the Altar Society and St. Anthony's Guild at 7:30 p.m.
