Came to the USA in 1852. His brother and father came in 1846. Jacob settled near Louisville, Ky before coming to Tell City, Indiana in 1857. He married Anna Pfeifer on 11 Feb 1857. They both were born in Schwarzenbach, Germany and met here again to get married and have a family. They had 13 children.
