Dorothy Maie Rainbolt was born January 27, 1938 at Rapid City, SD the daughter of Fred Elwood and Lena (Sinner) Elwood. She passed away April 27, 2014 at her home in Eminence, MO at the age of 76 years.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Jesse Rainbolt on February 2, 1954 in Sturgis, SD and to this union five children were born.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Lena Elwood; two daughters Lisa Buckner and Carol Nickeloff; and two brothers Clyde Elwood and Vernon "Jack" Elwood.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Jesse Rainbolt of Eminence, MO; two sons Leland Rainbolt and wife Margaret of Branson, MO and James Rainbolt and Terry Burchett of Eminence, MO; one daughter Susan Rainbolt of Eminence, MO; two brothers-in-law Tom Buckner of Fair Grove, MO and Terry Nickeloff of Hendersonville, NC; her grandchildren Jessica Anderson and husband Lee, Stephaine Buckner, Zachary Buckner and wife Melissa, Chrissy Ross and husband Robert, Cainaan Rainbolt and wife Bridget, and Jasmine Brunson Smith; her great grandchildren Bradley Smith, Rylan Ross, Carson Ross, and Kramer Anderson and a host of other family and friends.
Dorothy worked various jobs during her working life. She worked in the factory at Eminence, and worked with Leland and Margaret at their soda fountain in Eminence. She was also employed at the Current Wave and worked for Zenith TV in Eminence, MO.
Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
