Otto Michalewicz, 82, of Lott passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006 at a Temple Hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lott. Rev. Chris Ferrar officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lott. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Mr. Michalewicz was born July 11, 1923 in Lott to Joseph and Frances Niekamp Michalewicz. He lived all of his life in the Lott area. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Rosanna Robert Michalewicz on Jan. 30, 1957. He was a farmer and rancher and also was an agent for the Germania Insurance Co. He was a member of the Westphalia VFW Post #6117 and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lott. He was preceded in death by his wife, Feb. 10, 1993. He is survived by sons, Billy Michalewicz of Atlanta, Ga. and Robert Michalewicz of Salado; daughters, Mary Helen Wright of Spring, Nancy Dysart of Cypress, Frances Loyd of Fort Worth, and Jo Ann Burton of Ingleside; brother, Albert Michalewicz of Lott; sisters, Lena Winkler of Waco, and Annie Caldwell of Mart; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
