Andrew was the son of Julius T. and Maryette/Mary Etta White Lutz. He married first to Mary Louise Booth on 14 September 1908 at Grand Gorge, New York. She died in 1919. They had one daughter, Pauline Lutz. Andrew married next to Anna Keator on 27 October 1921 at Roxbury. She died in 1936. Andrew last married to Mrs. Beatrice Hamm Finch on 19 September 1937 at Oneonta, New York. Andrew and Beatrice made their home at Roxbury. They had one daughter, Sylvia Lutz. In his early years in Roxbury, he owned the Corner Store. Then he purchased the feed business, which he operated as Lutz Feed Company until his retirement in 1958. At that time, he sold the feed store to a nephew. Andy was a highly-respected leader and is remembered as able and dependable, with many interests and activities after his retirement. He was a director of the National Bank, Roxbury, a member of the board of education of Roxbury Central School, a former director of the Margaretville Hospital, a member and elder of Jay Gould Memorial Church, and he was active in Rotary Club. In 1936, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the John More Association. In 1953, he was elected a Vice-President of John More Association, Inc.
