Harry P. Kienzle, 87, of Butler passed away Sunday at his residence.
He was born in Branchton, April 28, 1923, a son of the late Frank and Mary Stengel Kienzle.
He was employed at Butler Armco in the stainless department, retiring in 1985 after 44 years of service.
Harry was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Kienzle was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, the Italian Society of Butler, VFW Post 249 and the Slovak Sokol Society.
He is survived by two sons; one daughter; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Berra Kienzle, who passed away March 13, 1997; and by 10 brothers and two sisters.
KIENZLE - Friends of Harry P. Kienzle, who died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. James Dolan, pastor, officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Michael Cemetery.
The Bereavement Group of St. Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to conduct a scriptural wake service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Leukemia Society.
