While Mrs. Wacker has been suffering from a lingering ailment for several years and also had undergone numerous operations, friends and relatives were shocked to learn of her death. Physicians had indicated an operation the only hope left, but unfortunately she was unable to withstand the operation and her death resulted.
Mrs. Wacker had been a resident of this community for many years, being the daughter of Mrs. Kate Wagner of southeast of Culbertson. She is a member of one of the community's oldest families and is one of a large family of children.
About three years ago the family moved to McCook from Culbertson and only about a month ago Mr. Wacker moved back to Culbertson and took rooms over the Culbertson hotel. Mrs. Wacker was unable to accompany the family here and was taken to the hospital at McCook where she remained until the time of her death.
She is survived by her husband and three sons, Wayne and Wilbert, who are attending school at Naperville, Illinois and Roland at home and a student in the local schools.

Sarah Wagner was born August 23, 1890 at Culbertson, Nebraska. She grew to womanhood in this community, even though the family lived in several other places for short periods. Culbertson always remained very definitely her home until the time of her death.
She was married to Sam Wacker November 19, 1912. To this union were born three sons.
She joined the Evangelical church in her later girlhood years, and she has been a member of this congregation since that time.
Death came to Mrs. Wacker while at the hospital in McCook on Wednesday, March 18, 1936 after a prolonged and severe illness. During this time she suffered intensely but thru it all she manifested a wonderful spirit of patience and Christian courage.
At the time of her death, she was 45 years, 6 months, and 25 days old.
She leaves to mourn her going, her husband, Sam Wacker; her three sons: Wayne, Wilbert, and Roland; her mother, Mrs. John Wagner; nine brothers and sisters, G.F. Wagner, William Wagner, Soloman Wagner, Albert Wagner, and Mrs. Jake Wacker Jr., Mrs. Amelia Yost, Mrs. Clara Metzer, Mrs. Rose Meininger, and Esther Wagner, besides many other relatives and friends.
