Roma & Fred were killed in a head on car crash on Highway 57 just south of the city limits of Chilton.

Mrs. Maas, the former Roma Brieske, was born April 26, 1894, a daughter of the late William and Amelia Henschel Brieske. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Chilton.

Mr. Mass was born in the town of Stockbridge on Dec 21, 1894, a son of the late William (sic)and Marie Sircher Maas. He attended Stockbridge rural schools and Chilton High School. A tool and die maker by trade, he was employed by the Aluminum Specialty Co., Chilton, for 40 years. He retired in 1960 as the firm's manager. He was a member of the Chilton Masonic Lodge, Royal Arch Masons, Order of Eastern Star, American Legion and World War I Veterans.
The couple married at Elkhart Lake on Oct 15, 1917.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Myles (Natialie) Stauss of Athens, Ga., and Mrs. Carl (Audrey) Schmidt of Fond du Lac, and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Maas is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Michael H. Maloney of Sheboygan.
Two sisters preceded Mr. Maas in death.
