Mrs. G. Harry Roth
Mrs. Elizabeth Catherine Roth, 81, Gettysburg, widow of the late G. Harry Roth, died of infirmities on Wednesday morning at 10:55 o'clock at the Warner hospital, where she was admitted Tuesday.
A native of Adams county, she was the daughter of the late Josiah and Marie Wolf. Her husband, who served as prothonotary two terms and who also was Republican county chairman and inheritance tax appraiser, died January 15, 1935.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Reformed church, Gettysburg, and of the Mary Gettys Rebekah lodge.
Surviving are a brother, John Wolf, Biglerville, R. D.; Four children, Mrs. G. Edward Shoap, Arendtsville; Mrs. Grove P. Zahn, of Westminster; Arthur E. Roth, Gettysburg, and Mrs. Martin Bowman, Shepherdstown; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She resided in Gettysburg for the past 30 years and before that lived in New Oxford and other parts of Adams county.
Funeral services Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bender funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Howard Schley Fox, her pastor, officiating. Interment in the New Oxford cemetery.
