Services for Mrs. Emil (Katerine) Evers, 83, who died late Wednesday evening in her home after a lengthy illness, will be at 2 PM Saturday in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Garber.
The Rev. Duane M. Duley will officiate at the rites. Mrs. Evers will be buried in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.
Mrs. Evers was born in Schwab, Russia, November 1, 1899, and came to the United States in 1907, and family settled near Lahoma. She attended parochial school at Lahoma and later moved with her parents to Breckinridge.
She married Emil Theodore Evers December 14, 1919, in Breckinridge. They lived on a farm near Garber until retiring in 1974, when they moved to Enid.
Mrs. Evers was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Garber.
Her husband died December 9, 1976. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Harry E. (Lorlene) Patterson, Oklahoma City, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Masterson, Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Harold (Berneice) Karner, Fort Worth, Texas; four sons, George Evers, Norman, Lloyd Evers, Irving, Texas, Harold Evers and Paul Evers, Enid; 20 grandchildren; 13 great – grandchildren; a great – great – grandson; a sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Mary) Gibson of Enid and a brother, Henry Schneider of Fairmont.
Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, either directly or through the funeral home.
