Gena Remington, 96, of Spokane, Wash. died April 5, 2004. At her request there was no funeral.
Gena J. Remington was born in Maddock, ND to Frederick and Tilla Nasset Johnson. She married Ted Tofsrud in 1927 and he died in 1956. In 1958 she moved to Spokane. She married Richard Remington in 1970 and he died in 1989.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, dancing and playing bingo.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Phyllis Sailor of Devils Lake, ND and Arlene and Ward Powell of Spokane Valley, Wash.; a daughter-in-law, Gerry Tofsrud of Spokane, Wash.; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Margaret Darling of Port Angeles, Wash. and Lillian and Harry Salisbury of Fargo, ND; and a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Alma Johnson of Minot, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a son, Myron Leroy Tofsrud; a grandson, Kenneth Wentz; six sisters, Olive Medved, Ellen Halverson, Anna Ashford, Lena Lee, Mabel Holtz and Hilda Bily; and four brothers, John, Edwin, Gordon and Ronald Johnson.
