Frieda was born June 25, 1903 in Germany to Mr. and Mrs. John Stueven. When she was a child of five, the family came to the Grand Island community and settled on land northeast of Grand Island. It was there she grew to womanhood. She married Fred Kruse on March 21, 1928 in Grand Island. They farmed the Kruse farm northwest of Grand Island. In 1942 they moved to their present home. Mrs. Kruse was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Grand Island.

Frieda was survived by her husband, Fred; five children, John Kruse and Mrs. Robert Lang of Grand Island; Mrs. Gordon Sinner and Mrs. Leo Wissing, both of Hastings, and Mrs. Vera Kelly of Denver, Colo. She was also survived by two brothers, John and Carl Stueven and three sisters, Mrs. George Kruse and Mrs. George Knuth, both of Grand Island and Mrs. Walter Boltz of Doniphan. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Otto, William and Herman Stueven and one sister, Mrs. Lillie Sanders.
