A life-long resident of his farm home near Mt. Ayr, he was married in 1909 to Margaret Costello who preceded him in death. He was a member of Brook Evangelical United Brethren church.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Mary Woolley at home; three sons, William and Thomas of near Mt. Ayr, and Benjamin Jr., of Gary; and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Staton and Mrs. Sadie Hough of Brook.
Friends may call after noon Tuesday at Hershman and Weston funeral home, Brook. Services there Wednesday at 2 p.m., Rev. John Rollings officiating. Burial in Riverside cemetery, Brook.
