GERING - A funeral for Marie Fenning, 73, of 1645 16th St., Gering, who died Monday in a Denver hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. James Lutheran Church at Scottsbluff with the Rev. Barklie Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Scottsbluff.
A memorial has been established to The American Cancer Society.
Boley-Dennis Gering Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Feb. 15, 1906 at Dittle, Russia. In 1912, she came to the United States and settled at Scottsbluff. She moved to California in 1941 and returned to Gering in 1971.
She was a member of the church.
Survivors include her husband, Adam of Gering; daughter Gloria Lorraine Staley of San Diego; sisters Mrs. Elizabeth Keller of Scottsbluff and Mrs. Katherine Meyer of Milwaukee; and three granddaughters.
