Gering - A funeral for Catherine (Wamboldt) Meyer Fenning, 73, of 1645 16th St., who died Monday in the local hospital, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday) in Jolliffe Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Paulsen officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
A memorial has been established to American Lung| Association of Nebraska.
She was born Sept. 28, 1906 and came with her parents in 1912 to Scottsbluff where she grew up and received her education. She married Carl Meyer, April 20, 1926 at Torrington, Wyo. They made their home in Scottsbluff where they owned and operated Meyer's Grocery. She married Adam Fenning, Sept 9, 1980. She had been a Scottsbluff resident for more than 70 years.
She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Chase of Hales Corners, Wisc.; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both husbands, a son and a granddaughter.
