YAKIMA - Fred Lenhardt, age 82, of Toppenish, Washington, died at the Community Hospital in Yakima on Tuesday, June 12, 1990.

He was born March 17, 1908 in Frank, Russia, the son of Conrad and Anna Margaret (Koffman) Lenhardt. Fred moved as a child with his family to the United States in 1913. They first lived in Fruita, Colorado and then to Loveland, where he attended schools.

Fred married Marie Gettman September 12, 1927 n Loveland. They moved to Wyoming in 1931 and he worked for the C&S Railroad. They returned to Loveland where he farmed until 1946 when they moved to a farm in Harrah, Washington. He then farmed in Toppenish until he retired in 1973.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church. He enjoyed his dogs and gardening. He was a very honest and up front person. He always had a twinkle in his eye and a good sense of humor.

Fred is survived by his wife, Marie, of their home near Toppenish; one son, Wilbur of Toppenish; daughters, Betty Crickon of Fontana, California; Lucille Clark of Corvallis, Oregon; Barbara Bazler of Polson, Montana and Sharon Lenhardt of Yakima; one brother, Harold of Loveland; and one sister, Linda Walters of Portland, Oregon; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two brothers and one sister.
