Funeral services for Ray A. Herman, 62, 2923 Hilcrest, who died Friday morning in Crystal City, Mo., will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Church.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with graveside services by the American Legion and the VFW.

The retired oil distributor is survived by his wife, Bertha; two daughters, Mrs. Rick (Mary) Mills of Edson and Mrs. Stephen (Kay) Vincent of Hays; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Harkness and Miss Margaret Riedel of Hays; and three brothers, Adolph of Hutchinson, Eddie of Hays and Joseph Riedel of Boise, Idaho.

He was a veteran of World War II and a prisoner of war in Germany for 27 months. He attended Fort Hays State. His memberships included the American Legion, VFW, B.P.O.E., the Third and Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus and Disabled American Veterans.

Friends may call at Brock's North Hill Chapel until the service. A parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. at Brock's. The Daughters of Isabella will hold a rosary at 8:30 p.m. Sunday and the Fourth Degree of K of C will have an honor guard at 8:30.
