On February 14, 1954, Mary A. Roever was united in marriage to Melvin J. Meyer at Marysville, Kansas where they made their first home. This union was blessed with the birth of eight children; Mitzie, Michael, Melinda, Mark, Matthew, Monica, Martin, and Marshall. Mary was a Christian, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and a dear friend to many. Her gentle smile and wise counsel will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Mary loved her family very much and always wanted the best for them, she took great pride in all her children’s accomplishments through the years, she was especially fond of her grand, great-grand, and even her great-great-grandchildren. She always enjoyed the times that she could spend with them and tried to spoil them every opportunity she got. Mary loved bingo, at least the times she won anyways, she also enjoyed rooting for the KU Basketball team, reading, watching her favorite T.V. shows and visiting with family and friends.
