Mrs. Olive I. Roever
Beattie-Mrs. Olive I. Roever, 75, Beattie, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, at a Marysville hospital.
She was born Jan. 30, 1909, in the Marietta community north of Marysville, the daughter of Willis and Bertha Thompson Locke.
Mrs. Roever was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church at Home, the American Association of Retired Persons and the Marshall County Historical Society.
She was married to Paul H. Roever Sept. 8, 1929, at Washington. He died in 1970. A son, Kenneth Lynn Roever, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Janet Smart, Beattie, Mrs. Betty Pretre, Garden City, Mich.; and Mrs. Mary Meyer, Canton; two sons, Robert L. Roever, Beattie, and Paul L. Roever, Colorado Springs; 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Freidens Lutheran Church at Home, Burial will be in Hanover City Cemetery. Mrs. Roever will lie in state from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. today at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville and an hour before service time at the church. Contributions may be made to the Mrs. Olive I. Roever Memorial Fund yet to be designated.
