Funeral services for Helan M. Hustede, 95, of Weimar, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at Davis-Dawson Chapel in Rosenberg. Father Eric Pitre will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hustede died Dec. 28 at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond. She was born Oct. 22, 1894 to parents Anton and Louise Moeller of Moulton.
Mrs. Hustede is preceded in death by her husband, Gus Hustede, who died in 1946, her parents, four brothers, and one sister.
She is survived by one son, Joe Miller, and wife, Mabel, of Rosenberg; three stepdaughters, Norma Emshoff and Meta Pawlick, both of Beasley, and Bertha Whitmore of Durham, N.C.; one stepson, Alfred Hustede of San Antonio; two granddaughters, Melba Ashley and her husband, Jimmy and Lynelle Edmonds; three great-granddaughters, Dawn and Shawn Edmonds and Kristin Ashley; one great-grandson, Cody Ashley; one sister, Ella Haechten of Miles; five step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29, at Davis-Dawson Funeral Home.
