DIES AFTER MOTOR TRIP
MRS. A. H. CARSON OF AFTON EXPIRES AT HOME OF SON
Mrs. A. H. Carson of Afton who arrived by motor car at the home of her son, Ernest, at 246 River Street, Saturday afternoon at about 4:30 o'clock, for a visit, was taken ill some little time after and passed away Sunday evening at about 8:30 o'clock, death being attributed to an acute attack of Bright's disease. She had been complaining for a long time. Her age was 70 years.
The funeral services will be held from the house on Thursday at 2 o'clock. Rev. E. J. Farley will officiate and internment will be made in the Plains cemetery.
Mrs. Carson's maiden name was Jane Hill and she was born near the site of the present Ashokan reservoir, but most of her life has been passed in the vicinity of Sidney and Afton, her husband being a farmer. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Fred B. Lyon of Walton, and four sons, Ernest and Henry, the latter residing with the former here, and Stephen of Schenevus and Frank Carson of Afton.
