Funeral Services for Velda True, of Bloomfield, were held Monday, May 15, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. Pastor Duane Fahr officiated with burial in Bloomfield City Cemetery. Visitation was Monday, May 15 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Velda Louise True daughter of Herman and Emma Rose was born on July 23, 1928 at Bloomfield Nebraska.
A lifetime member of First Trinity Lutheran Church, she was baptized on September 9, 1928 and confirmed on March 29, 1942 by Rev. A. Ollenburg.
She was a 1946 graduate of Bloomfield High School. Velda married Dewey B. True on January 1, 1949 at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. Three children were born to this union, Bryon, Jolene and Joan.
Velda worked for over 30 years at the Good Samaritan Centre in Bloomfield. She was an active member of the First Trinity Ladies Aide, Friendly Times Club and an Orphan Grain Train Volunteer. Velda enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by Son and wife Bryon and Patsy True of Sutherland Ne, daughter and husband Joan and Larry McCoy of Manhahattan, KS five grandchildren Jason, Jedidiah, and Julie Anne True and Kate and Mitchell McCoy, three brothers Kenneth Rose of Hutchinson Ks, Raymond Rose of Onawa, Iowa, Milton Rose of Bushwood, Maryland , five sisters Adeline kuhlman, Norma Schmoldt both of Bloomfield,Eunice Hoffart of Gregory SD, Leona Boland of Helena MT and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Dewey, daughter Jolene, and three sisters Sharon, Easther and Vera.
