Funeral services for Norma Schmoldt, age 93, of Bloomfield, Nebraska formerly of Tilden, Nebraska, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. Reverend Jacob Bobby will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield City Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Norma died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Good Samaritan Society in Bloomfield.

Norma A. (Rose) Schmoldt, daughter of Herman and Emma (Hinzmann) Rose, was born August 10, 1923, at Bloomfield, Nebraska.

She graduated from Bloomfield High School. On November 24, 1945, Norma was united in marriage to Richard Schmoldt. They were blessed with three children, Tom, Craig, and Lori.

Norma lived in the Bloomfield and Tilden, Nebraska areas throughout her lifetime.

She was a homemaker and also worked at Elkhorn Valley School District for a while after her children were grown.

Norma was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilden and attended First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. She was active in Ladies Aid and Tilden American Legion Auxiliary.

Norma enjoyed sewing, embroidery, baking, and spending time with her family.

Norma is survived by her son, Tom (Betsy) Schmoldt; daughter, Lori (Joel) Voigt; nine grandchildren, Kent, Kurt, Carly, Aaron, Amy, Sara, Emilee, Nora, and Meg; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Leona Boland; three brothers, Ken Rose, Ray Rose, and Milton Rose; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Emma Rose; husband, Richard in 2001; son, Craig in 2016; sisters, Adeline, Esther, Eunice, Vera, Velda, and Sharon; five brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.
