Adeline attended rural school at District 120 near her home through the eighth grade. On April 1, 1940, Adeline was married to Arthur C. Kuhlman at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. The couple was blessed with six children, Karna, Leon, Lyle, Neil, Donel, and Dale. Adeline and Arthur began their married life on a farm ¾ mile north of the Midland Store, 10 miles east of Creighton, Nebraska. They then moved to a farm seven miles east, one south, and a half-mile east of Creighton, until retiring to Bloomfield in 1974. Adeline was a member of Golgotha Lutheran Church of rural Wausa, where she was a longtime member of the Ladies Aid. She died Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Avera Creighton Hospital at the age of 90 years, one month, and 15 days.
Adeline is survived by: daughter, Karna (John) Koepke of Circle Pines, Minnesota; sons, Leon (Sandra) Kuhlman of Randolph, Nebraska, Lyle (Rebecah) Kuhlman of Osmond, Nebraska, Neil (Marlene) Kuhlman of David City, Nebraska, Donel (Paulette) Kuhlman of Bennett, Nebraska, and Dale (Deborah) Kuhlman of Creighton, Nebraska; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Rose of Hutcheson, Kansas, Raymond Rose of Onawa, Iowa, and Milton Rose of Bushwood, Maryland; and sisters, Norma Schmoldt of Bloomfield, Nebraska, and Leona Boland of Helena, Montana.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Arthur C. Kuhlman on October 29, 2004; granddaughter, Amanda Kuhlman; and sisters, Esther Klingele, Eunice Hoffart, Vera Nielsen, Velda True, and Sharon Koppleman.
