Myrtle L. Heimmermann, age 84, was called home to the Lord on Sunday, April 12, 2015. She was born on April 21, 1930, and she resided in Appleton. Mert worked for many years at Peerless Laundry. She was a woman who had a strong faith, and she was a longtime member at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mert enjoyed growing up on a farm and loved farm animals, especially horses and goats. She loved working on puzzle books, watching the Packers, and taking drives in the country with her husband, Joe. Mert also enjoyed dancing, watching western movies and game shows, and spending time with her grandsons.She is survived by her son, Mark (Sharon) Heimmermann; grandsons, Matthew and Luke Heimmermann; sister, Ethel Overesch; and brother, Chuck (Ann) Peters. Mert was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Heimmermann; sister, Marlene (Ted) Burnette; and brother-in-law, Vernon Overesch.Funeral liturgy for Mert will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015, at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, Appleton, with Fr. Don Zuleger officiating.
