Age 89, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family following a short illness on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015. He was born in the Township of Springfield on July 18, 1926, to Louie and Gertrude (Meier) Buechner. He served in the Army from 1954 to 1956 and was a member of the Waunakee American Legion Post 360. Curly was employed by the Dane County Hwy. Dept. for over 30 years and upon retirement, enjoyed his gardening, fishing for bullheads, and reminiscing with friends and family. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Schneider and Henrietta Grosse; and also two brothers, Ludwig and Vincent.
