Kenneth C. Uehling

Oakland - Kenneth C. Uehling, a retired farmer active in the
Oakland area, died Wednesday at the Oakland Memorial Hospital
following a brief illness. He was 71.

Mr. Uehling was born Oct. 3, 1909, at Uehling. He lived in the
Oakland area for several years.

Mr. Uehling was a member of the Oakland Masonic Lodge, No. 91, the
Oakland Gallee Chapter, No. 57 and the Oakland chapter of the Order
of the Eastern Star. He was also a member of the Omaha Tangiers
Shrine, The Burt County Livestock Feeders Association and the
Oakland Lions Club.

Mr. Uehling was also on the boards of the Mutual Insurance Company
of Oakland and the Farmer's Union Coop of Oakland.

He married the former Mary E. Walther on March 3. 1934, at Fremont.
She survives.

Other survivors include; two daughters, Mrs. James (Patricia)
Donelan, Omaha, and Mrs. David (Kay) Merrick, Boise, Idaho; two
sisters, Mrs. Alma Osterloh, Hooper, and Mrs. Edna Peterson,
Fremont; a bother, Windsor Uehling of Uehling; and four grandsons.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the First United
Methodist Church at Oakland. The Rev. Olin Belt will officiate.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-9 p.m. at the Palmquist Funeral
Home, Oakland. Burial will be in the Uehling Cemetery.
